I hear the hypnotizing hum or the lawn mower.
The freshly cut green plants emit chemicals that waft in on the brilliant breeze flowing through. Some land around me and I smell the familiar aroma of freshly cut grass. Which reminds me of childhood, just a bit. Then reminds me of when I had to cut my own grass. Then makes me thankful to live in an apartment so now it's done for me.
Then...I think about what this afternoon has in store for me.
And I'm dreading it.
